Jung in Ireland 2008

Seminar Details:

Seminar Cost: *$2700 includes:

  • Seven nights’ accommodations in Belfast and Donegal
  • Full Irish breakfast served daily; one lunch and three dinners (including festive opening and closing dinners)
  • Presentations and workshops led by faculty
  • Full day touring of Antim Coast and Giants Causeway
  • Round trip ground transportation aboard luxury coach from Belfast to Donegal.

*Based on double occupancy; single supplement ($350) and gratuities (95 euro) additional. For those preferring to share a room and need a roommate, we will try and provide one; otherwise, single supplement rate will apply. Payment in full due by January 25, 2008. Participants may still register after this date, subject to availability of space. For those in need of help in booking flights from the U.S. or Canada, please contact Jo Fisher at our office telephone (845) 256 0191 or e-mail: Jofisher@nyjungcenter.org and she will be glad to help. Additionally, group transportation will be available from Dublin airport to Belfast at a cost of 30 euro per person.

  • Full Irish breakfast served daily; two lunches and two dinners (including festive opening and closing dinners)
  • Presentations and workshops led by faculty
  • All ground transportation aboard luxury coach to and from sites
  • Round trip group transportation aboard luxury coach from Belfast Airport to Rathmullan House in Donegal
  • All museum and archaeological site entrance fees, and sightseeing.

Participation

Open to individuals from all fields as well as mental health professionals. No prerequisites are required; a suggested reading list will be mailed upon registration. All rights are reserved to ask a participant to leave who is disruptive to the program.

Credits and Certificates

Both the seminar and the study/tour are co sponsored by the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis and the New York Center for Jungian Studies. NAAP is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. Both will carry 20 C.E. credits. NAAP maintains responsibility for the program. Full attendance is required at each presentation to receive credit. 20 LCSW and MFT credits also available through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Certificates of Attendance will be issued upon request.

Tax Deductions

Seminars of this type generally meet the requirements for IRS deductions.

Faculty and Schedule

All rights are reserved by the Seminar Directors to make faculty substitutions and/or modify the program (including hotels) if needed.

The New York Center for Jungian Studies organizes, plans and produces conferences, seminars and events, based on the teachings of Carl Jung (CG Jung). Our Jungian seminars and conferences are held worldwide, including the following countries and cities: United States of America, New York, Rhinebeck, Dublin, Killarney, Kilkenny, Ireland, Israel. Our Jung on the Hudson Summer Seminar Series is held annually during the summer months. Our Annual Jung in Ireland event is held in Ireland every spring.

Aryeh Maidenbaum, Ph.D., is a former faculty member of NYU where, for many years, he taught courses on Jungian psychology. From 1982-1993 he was the Executive Director of the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York. A graduate of the Jung Institute of Zurich, he is a contributing author to Current Theories of Psychoanalysis (Robert Langs, ed.) and has written and co-authored several books and articles including “The Search for Spirit in Jungian Psychology,” “Psychological Type, Job Change and Personal Growth,” and "Lingering Shadows: Jungian, Freudians and anti-Semitism." His latest book, Jung and the Shadow of Anti-Semitism, is a collection of essays he has edited on this subject.
